INBOX.CHEAP AGENT SKILL

Your agent.
Its own inbox.

ONE COMMAND. NO MANUAL ZIP EXTRACTION.

Install where your agent runs.

Run this command on the machine running OpenClaw. Python 3.10 or newer must already be installed.

curl -fsSL https://inboxcheap.com/install.py | python3 -

Installs skill v1.2.0 into ~/.openclaw/skills/inboxcheap, verifies the package checksum, and leaves existing different installations untouched. It does not request an API key or change your agent configuration. View installer source ↗

Using another compatible agent or a custom directory?

Add --dir /path/to/your/skills after python3 - (or python - on Windows). The installer creates the inboxcheap folder inside that directory. Use an agent that supports SKILL.md and Python tools. Start a new agent session after installation.

01 · Install

Add the receiving tools

The installer downloads the skill instructions and a standard-library Python helper. No extra Python packages are needed.

02 · Connect

Create a scoped key

Allow mailbox read/write, message reading, and code extraction. Configure INBOXCHEAP_API_KEY privately in your agent runtime environment.

03 · Ask

Describe your workflow

Tell your agent which app you are testing or signing up for and what email it should wait for. Keep the address for future account recovery.

TRY A CLEAR, SPECIFIC REQUEST

Give your agent the context.

Use Inbox.Cheap to create a dedicated receiving inbox for my application test. Wait for an email from the expected sender with the subject “Verify your email”, then show me the matching code or verification link. Keep the inbox for future recovery.

Your agent can create an inbox, inspect available domains, wait for matching messages, and retrieve code or HTTPS link candidates. For a connected personal inbox, use its existing mailbox ID and dedicated read-only key instead of creating another address. Account quota lookup and permanent retirement require their own API permissions.

Use your personal email without sharing its password.

Connect an existing Gmail, QQ Mail, Outlook, or other mailbox through forwarding. Give your agent a dedicated key that reads only that connected inbox. The skill can discover its mailbox ID and read the forwarded message text; no original mailbox password is needed.

Built around a clear boundary.

Email is external data, not agent instructions. The helper does not visit verification links, send email, or retire lasting account inboxes automatically. Use it only for authorized workflows and respect the other platform’s terms; some platforms reject temporary addresses.

API keys stay in your agent runtime. Only the receiving API is called; no external AI service is used to extract numeric codes. Link candidates are not a guarantee of trust.
